Free Denim!

Had to share that this great denim company, RE/DONE, is having a drawing to win their full collection.  Enter here.  Umm, or don't enter, because then there's a better chance that I'll win. ;)

About the brand:

RE/DONE jeans are a celebration of the Levi’s jean’s past and a continuation of the jean’s individual story. They take the vintage denim apart at the seams, repurposing it as the fabric of the new jeans. The jeans are manufactured in Downtown Los Angeles using water conserving methods and no harsh chemicals. Quantities will always be limited since each pair is handpicked, hand cut, and distinctly one of a kind.

Great way to shop green and support local merchants/manufacturers.

Enjoy!!

(Wo)Man in the Mirror

I’m on a mission to simplify.  Having a baby definitely complicated life, but babies just do that.  It's life.  But the rest of life around the baby can be simpler than it is.  While we can’t control the world outside our homes, we have control of what’s in our homes, and if that space is a mess, then life feels a mess.  We live in a materialistic society (and Los Angeles is a particularly materialistic city), and I confess that my household has too much material stuff (if we had a bigger house, I may not say the same thing about my current volume, so it’s a good thing at this point we have a small space.)

Green for your DIY

I like DIY, especially for my home décor.  Pinterest definitely fuels the ideas and projects I attempt.  Being a renter, with limited space and increasing amounts of 'stuff' due to having a child now in the home, I am constantly looking for ways to maximize storage and available space, and minimize clutter.  I really try to work with what I already have, because I can't justify spending a lot of money on furniture that is custom to a rental layout when our plan (hope) is to move and buy.
