What Everyday Stilettos Has Become

Despite what the post prior to this reported, I did not exactly return here for the past couple years. I have been super busy, but this website has been neglected. I’m sorry. I want to change that.

I originally started this website as a fashion/lifestyle diary shortly after my first son was born. In the years since, much in my life has changed, and I have found a new direction for my interests and creativity.

If you’re here because you found me via Instagram, you know I have been very active there. It is a very good vehicle for sharing the type of content I’m making, namely sharing the process as I’m DIYing my way through our first home, exploring my art again, and being a working mom to two active boys.

Instagram is good for capturing things quickly, but blog posts take more time, and extra time is something I don’t have a lot of. However, Instagram is controlled by capitalism, and it exists for its own profit, not that of the content creators. If anything ever happened to Instagram, much of my content would lost, and I do not like that lack of control.

So Everyday Stilettos is not the fashion-based site it used to be, though I do still enjoy it and will share that on occasion. The name Everyday Stilettos came from the idea that no matter what you’re wearing, if you add a stiletto it elevates the look and makes you feel more fabulous. I feel like that can apply to all of life: there are things we can do, no matter our budget, our free time, our skill level, that can elevate our space and make it feel more fabulous. I’m figuring out ways to elevate my space on a budget in my limited time and sharing it to help inspire and teach others how they can make their spaces and busy lives as fabulous as they want them.

I am going to try to make this site a more thorough and permanent resource to my Instagram account (I’m on TikTok and Pinterest too), and I hope you find it helpful and cannot express my gratitude for you being here and your support. Thanks again, and see you soon!
